Little Wontons 小混沌

Ingredients

Wrappers

If you don’t have time to make wrappers you can buy pre-made wonton wrappers and roll them out even more at home until they are transparent enough. They should be 2X2 inches

Filling

  • 300g Finely minced pork (30% fat)

  • 2TB Corn Starch

  • 2TB minced scallions (white part only)

  • 20g shaoxing wine

  • 24g oyster sauce

  • 20g sesame oil

  • 8g sugar

  • 4g Salt

  • white pepper to taste

Soup

  • 2-1/2 cups Pork or Chicken Stock

  • 1TB sesame oil

  • 1TB Soy Sauce

  • Dried Laver

  • 1 TB pickled mustard strips

  • white pepper to taste

  • chopped scallions

Instructions

  1. Mix all of filling until pasty consistency

  2. Small dollop of filling on wrapper and seal them tightly.

  3. Bring a pot of water to boil.

  4. Add in wontons (do not overfill) Mix so they don’t stick to the bottom of the pot.

  5. Put lid over. Once the wontons start to boil and float to the top, add in some more water to stop it from boiling. *cooks quickly because there is barely any filling and the wrappers are thin.

  6. In a serving bowl, combine all soup ingredients.

  7. Add wontons to soup and enjoy!

  8. You can also add in your own chili oil :)
